| How and why? |
| |
How did we select the ramen restaurants for the museum? Most of the restaurants
in the museum are long established institutions from different regions
across Japan. "Ryusyanhai," for example, was run by the same
family for three generations (50years) in Yamagata. Within the museum,
you can enjoy the delicious tastes of traditional, famous ramens from many
localities under one roof!
Why did we reproduce the year Showa 33 (1958)?
The mood from the good old days of Showa fills visitors with nostalgia
and an appetite to taste ramen. And importantly, instant noodles were invented
in 1958. The invention transformed Japan into a nation of ramen connoisseurs.
